So I woke up this morning thinking "it's Monday and I have a lot to do this week."
I felt rather energized from Sunday, I got a pretty good nights sleep and I have my list of things to do; I am ready to face the day, coffee in hand!
Dressed and out the door at 8:25 (on time) to drop the girls at school, I head out for a day of accomplishing things. Wal-Mart, Michael's, Hobby Lobby....have Brownies tomorrow, need supplies. Then to the school for shelving books (volunteer each Monday) and back by the house to change out laundry before the grocery. The plan was in place.....
Got to Wal-Mart, traffic was backed up due to a wreck on the highway where a police officer was hit. Once there, I spent time looking for things they did not have, paid for what I found and left...rain and traffic back to the house, switched laundry and off to the school. Got there and "TESTING-DO NOT ENTER was on the door. Turned around to head to Michael's and Hobby Lobby.....got the call from the school nurse....Campbell has a stomach ache and feels like she will be sick....OMG!
Turned around and headed back to school. Found her with the nurse "playing the part" of a sick child, no fever and half a smile on her face. (I am on to her right away) After a short conversation in the car, come to find out testing was this morning and she was nervous. UGH!
After Campbell's Goldfish Noodle with Meatballs, she is now home sleeping. I forced that one. She wants to go to Indian Princesses tonight and I said "not if you do not sleep" and she is. I think the sleepover and two soccer games this weekend probably did her in. She likes her rest and her little body needs it.
So, the best laid plans and the to-do list sometimes do not mean a darn thing. Just hoping it is the testing and not a bug, for everyone's sake....But that list awaits and there are still lots of things to get done! We will see tomorrow how "that's working for me"!
